"The Flimby Garden"

New Balance created a garden for its employees in Flimby, designed and created with London-based jewellery designer Bleue Burnham.

This is something really nice to see; New Balance is really giving back to its workers. The garden was created to provide workers with a space to relax and connect with nature throughout the working day.

New Balance's factory workers produce approximately 30,000 pairs of shoes each month.

The garden was designed with London-based jewellery designer Blue Brunham. Blue Brunham was established in 2018 by Blue Wickham-Burnham. The brand creates jewellery which is "developed and actualised from detailed research of human culture and its connection to the natural world." The brand has had huge success since launching in 2018, collaborating with Gucci Vault, Palm Angels and more.

“It’s both a privilege and an honour to have been entrusted with designing a garden for New Balance at their Made in UK factory. The project gave us the opportunity to explore how our design language and philosophy could interact with garden design, creating a space that is playful in its design, whilst encouraging moments of pause, connection and joy throughout the working day.” Said Bleue Wickham-Burnham, Founder of Bleue Burnham

It's great to see New Balance giving back to their employees, a direction which more brands should follow.
